TechnipFMC Wins Moving Scotland Award

  • Submitted by: Alexander Burnett, Aberdeenshire West, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 18 December 2019
  • Motion reference: S5M-20257

That the Parliament congratulates TechnipFMC, which has won the Moving Scotland category at the VIBES Scottish Environment Business Awards 2019; understands that the global oil and gas company, which has a Westhill campus specialising in subsea projects and fleet management, has introduced a number of initiatives to reduce its impact on the environment, such as a bus link from Aberdeen city centre to bring staff to the campus, which has reduced car journeys by around 50 every day, and its work to lower carbon emission by 74 tonnes per year; commends all of the winners and nominees at the awards, and wishes them, and TechnipFMC, further success with environmental management and sustainability.
