When Parliament is in session committees normally meet on the mornings of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. During these meetings committees take evidence from witnesses, scrutinise legislation and conduct inquiries.
When Parliament is in recess there will not be any committee meetings scheduled.
The Scottish Parliament is in dissolution from Thursday 24 March 2016. This means there are no MSPs and no parliamentary business will take place until after the election on Thursday 5 May 2016. For further information, please see our Election 2016 page.
Members of the public can attend committee meetings. A free ticket is required for a seat in the public gallery of a committee room. Tickets can be requested using the ticket request form or emailing or calling Visitor Services.
