About our service
Public Information and Publications is an impartial service that provides information on the Scottish Parliament, its membership, business and procedures.
Please note, however, that:
- we cannot offer legal advice or deal with enquiries about implementing or interpreting legislation
- we are unable to offer opinions or undertake extensive research
- enquiries about legislation and about government policy should be directed to the relevant Scottish Government or UK government department
- enquiries about the policies of political parties, past and present, should be directed to the relevant political party.
In addition, please note that the Public Information & Publications team does not circulate emails to MSPs or forward correspondence to external organisations. A list of email addresses for MSPs can be found in the fact sheets section of our website.
