About the image: The Garden Lobby links all the buildings in the parliamentary complex. Looking towards the top of the image you'll see some of the main features of this central space, the leaf-shaped roof lights.
Looking down, the flooring is made of Kemnay granite from Aberdeenshire, Caithness flag, and oak strips. The stairs lead up towards the debating chamber. A Member of the Scottish Parliament takes this route to the chamber from their MSP office.
If you're planning a visit to Holyrood in person, information including guided tour details and opening times is available in our Visiting the Parliament section.
