Introduction
The Committee reports to the Parliament as follows—
1. On 17 September 2015, the Environmental Regulation (Enforcement Measures) (Scotland) Order 2015 [draft] was laid before the Parliament and referred to the Rural Affairs, Climate Change and Environment Committee. The Order is subject to affirmative procedure (Rule 10.6). It is for the Rural Affairs, Climate Change and Environment Committee to recommend to the Parliament whether the order should be approved.
2. The Minister for Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform has, by motion S4M-14575, proposed that the Committee recommends approval of the Order.
3. At its meeting on the 28 October 2015, the Committee took evidence on the Environmental Regulation (Enforcement Measures) (Scotland) Order 2015 [draft] from—
Aileen McLeod, Minister for Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform and George Burgess, Deputy Director, Environmental Quality Division, and Bridget Marshall, Environmental Quality Division, Scottish Government.
Following the evidence session, Aileen McLeod moved motion S4M-14575—
That the Rural Affairs, Climate Change and Environment Committee recommends that the Environmental Regulation (Enforcement Measures) (Scotland) Order 2015 [draft] be approved.
The motion was agreed to.
