The Committee has had a long-standing interest in ensuring that the Commonwealth Games in 2014 results in a genuine sporting legacy for Scotland.
The Committee’s scrutiny of the Scottish Government’s Draft Budget on sport is focusing on the “active” legacy of the games, this includes the Legacy Physical Activity Fund launched by the Scottish Government.
The Committee created an online survey asking a number of questions of those involved in delivering the active legacy, including local authorities, leisure trusts and community sports hubs, to help the Committee assess progress so far. The responses will be used to inform questioning to the Scottish Government on its budget plans.
Please note that the Scottish Government had yet to publish its Draft Budget. The survey was been drafted to reflect this.
