Remit
The Committee has agreed to undertake a short, follow-up inquiry into the 2012 homelessness commitment in Scotland. The Committee undertook its first inquiry on this issue in 2011/2012, reporting to Parliament on 20 March 2012. In addition to making a number of recommendations in its inquiry report, the Committee stated that it would monitor the implementation of the commitment for the remainder of the parliamentary session and address any areas of concern which may emerge.
Evidence
The Committee agreed its approach to a review of progress on the implementation of the 2012 homeless commitment at its meeting on 14 May 2014 and took evidence from a range of stakeholders from August to November, 2014.
Evidence sessions
The first evidence session was heard on 11 June 2014 with the Scottish Housing Regulator on its report into housing options.
