About The Committee

The Welfare Reform Committee was established on 25 January 2012. 

The Committee's role is to monitor the implementation of the UK Welfare Reform Act 2012 and other social security legislation as it affects provision in Scotland and to consider relevant Scottish legislation and other consequential arrangements.

The Future Delivery of Social Security in Scotland

The Call for Evidence is open now.  The deadline for the receipt of written evidence is Friday 28th August 2015. 

The Committee plans to take oral evidence in the autumn.

Women and Social Security

The call for written evidence was launched on 13th March and closed on 1st May 2015.

The Committee took oral evidence on 19th May and 2nd June 2015.
