Correspondence relating to fatal road accidents
The Committee has considered research on fatal road accidents produced by the University of Dundee and commissioned by the Scottish Campaign against Irresponsible Drivers (SCID) with support from the Campaign for Freedom of Information (FOI) in Scotland.
At its meeting on 6 November 2012, the Committee agreed to seek the views of the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS), Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland (ACPOS), Scottish Government and Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA).
At its meeting on 26 February 2013, the Committee agreed to invite SCID and the University of Dundee to comment on these responses. The Committee also agreed to seek further information from COPFS and ACPOS.
The Committee considered this issue again at its meeting on 7 May 2013.
