Finance Committee

About The Committee

The role of the Committee is to consider the Scottish Government’s spending plans, both through the annual budget process and examining the cost implications of bills. The Committee can also launch inquiries on any other matter within its remit.

The Committee normally meets on Wednesday mornings. The Meeting section of the webpage contains information on previous meetings, as well as the Minutes and Official Reports of meetings.

You can book tickets to attend a meeting, free of charge, by contacting the Parliament’s Visitor Services Department. Committee proceedings are also broadcast live on the Parliament’s website.
