Motions and amendments are normally printed the day after they are lodged. If an amendment is lodged to a motion then the original motion will appear alongside the amendment, along with any support lodged that day, in this section.
Each Monday, this section also contains all motions and amendments lodged the previous week that are still live and any motions and amendments that have been lodged for debate in the coming week. A motion or amendment is live if it has not been debated, withdrawn or otherwise deleted from the list.
Where a motion or amendment has been withdrawn, it is indicated in this section the day after it has been withdrawn. Support for motions and amendments received after they are lodged is shown at the end of this section the day after such support is received.
Motions and amendments can be published with various symbols
- Asterisks before the motion or amendment number indicate a motion or amendment published for the first time
- Asterisks also identify alterations to the text of a motion or amendment made since it was first published
- A hash symbol identifies motions eligible for debate at Members’ Business
- A diamond symbol identifies motions lodged for Members’ Business that have not yet attracted the required cross-party support
- An "R", identifies motions or amendments in which the Member who lodged it has a registrable interest.
The Parliamentary Bureau periodically deletes motions or amendments not scheduled for debate and which are over six weeks old.
Any questions in relation to this section should be directed to the Chamber Desk
New and altered motions and amendments
*S4M-12243 Roderick Campbell: Open Championship Broadcasting Removed from Free-to-air Services—That the Parliament notes the decision of the R&A to offer exclusive live broadcasting rights of the Open Golf Championship to Sky, ending the current television broadcasting deal with the BBC in 2017; recognises the R&A’s decision to maintain live radio broadcasting, and highlights packages, with the BBC; considers it disappointing that the BBC will no longer provide live coverage of one of the largest events in golf, and sport more generally; further recognises the interests of the R&A in continuing to provide support for golf in the UK and Ireland but considers the loss of this coverage from free-to-air services to be a loss for people who cannot afford subscription services or to attend golf events in person, but hopes that the new deal between the R&A, Sky and the BBC promotes golf to a larger, younger audience and encourages greater participation in the sport.

Marshall Mackenzie and Archibald Simpson have enhanced the beauty of the granite city; further considers that many recent developments across the city have not complemented its historic buildings; believes that the current plans to develop Marischal Square is yet another mistake and that the public furore surrounding this proposal has cast Aberdeen in a bad light, and calls on the Labour-led council to rethink the proposals for this site, protect Aberdeen’s heritage and plan to enhance the beauty of the silver city by the sea.

*S4M-12235 Patricia Ferguson: Maryhill Foodbank—That the Parliament notes with dismay the callous break-in at the Maryhill Foodbank, which resulted in the theft and destruction of much-needed clothes and toiletries, as well as food and other items, intended for distribution to people in need in the greater Maryhill area; notes that funds gathered to assist the young victim of a serious road traffic accident were also stolen and condemns utterly this kind of behaviour; commends the staff of the foodbank and its board of management, who work hard to provide a service and whose job has been made even harder by this mindless robbery, and wishes them well for the future.
