S4W-06822 Tavish Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive what action it is taking to deliver the 2012 in-year flexibility under the cod recovery plan.

S4W-06823 Tavish Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive when the Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and the Environment last met the European Commissioner for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and whether they discussed in-year flexibility under the cod recovery plan.

S4W-06824 Tavish Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it considers the European Commission’s assessment that fishing capacity in relation to Scotland’s whitefish fishing fleet is growing at 3% per annum to be accurate and, if not, what action it is taking.

S4W-06825 Humza Yousaf: To ask the Scottish Executive how many people have type (a) 1 and (b) 2 diabetes, broken down by Scottish official ethnicity classification.

S4W-06826 Liam McArthur: To ask the Scottish Executive what progress has been made in developing proposals to ensuring that students from the rest of the UK from low-income backgrounds are not deterred from studying in Scotland.

S4W-06827 Liam McArthur: To ask the Scottish Executive what discussions it has had with (a) universities, (b) the National Union of Students and (c) other stakeholders on developing a consistent approach to advising people from the rest of the UK who are considering studying in Scotland about the fees structure and what support is available to them.

S4W-06830 Claire Baker: To ask the Scottish Executive, in light of the statement in the North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organization’s Draft Report of the Aquaculture, Introductions and Transfers and Transgenics Focus Area Review Group that "in spite of the wealth of regulations and measures demonstrated in the FARs relating to salmon farming no jurisdiction was able to show that it had reached a situation where it had achieved the international goals", what additional steps will be taken to address these issues in Scotland.

S4W-06831 Claire Baker: To ask the Scottish Executive what its position is on the statement in the North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organization’s Final Report of the Aquaculture, Introductions and Transfers and Transgenics Focus Area Review Group that "the number of sea lice may be less than one per farmed fish but that may still translate to large numbers of lice in the environment because of the scale of production".

S4W-06832 Claire Baker: To ask the Scottish Executive, in light of the conclusion in the North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organization’s Final Report of the Aquaculture, Introductions and Transfers and Transgenics Focus Area Review Group that, in Scotland, "progress towards achieving the international goals for sea lice and containment was not demonstrated", what additional steps will be taken to address these issues.

S4W-06833 Claire Baker: To ask the Scottish Executive, in the light of the conclusion in the North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organization’s Final Report of the Aquaculture, Introductions and Transfers and Transgenics Focus Area Review Group that, in Scotland, "adequate measures to minimise the risk of disease and parasite transmission have not been implemented", what additional steps will be taken to address these issues.

S4W-06834 Claire Baker: To ask the Scottish Executive what additional steps it will take to ensure that sampling protocols effective in characterising the sea lice loads in fish farms and on wild salmonid populations are in place, as per the North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organization’s Guidance on Best Management Practices to address impacts of sea lice and escaped farmed salmon on wild salmon stocks.

S4W-06835 Claire Baker: To ask the Scottish Executive what additional steps it will take to assess sea lice loads on wild salmonids compared with areas with no salmon farms, as per the North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organization’s Guidance on Best Management Practices to address impacts of sea lice and escaped farmed salmon on wild salmon stocks.

S4W-06836 Claire Baker: To ask the Scottish Executive what additional steps it will take to assess sea lice induced mortality of wild salmonids, as per the North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organization’s Guidance on Best Management Practices to address impacts of sea lice and escaped farmed salmon on wild salmon stocks.

S4W-06837 Claire Baker: To ask the Scottish Executive what its position is on a trial of closed containment for marine finfish aquaculture, in light of the recent trial of such a system by Aquamarine in Canada.

S4W-06838 Claire Baker: To ask the Scottish Executive when it will provide a policy statement about a strategy for mixed stock fisheries.

S4W-06839 Claire Baker: To ask the Scottish Executive whether the proposed Aquaculture and Fisheries Bill will include provisions to ensure that fish genetic samples are produced from salmon fisheries where necessary.

S4W-06840 Drew Smith: To ask the Scottish Executive how many operations were cancelled by Yorkhill Hospital in (a) 2010-11 and (b) 2011-12 and for what reasons.

S4W-06841 Drew Smith: To ask the Scottish Executive how many beds were available for use at Yorkhill Hospital in each year from 2007-08 to 2011-12.
