A Bill to make provision for an Act of the Scottish Parliament to make it lawful, in certain circumstances, to assist another to commit suicide; and for connected purposes.
This Member's Bill was introduced by Margo MacDonald MSP on 13 November 2013.
On the Bill's introduction, Patrick Harvie MSP was, under Rule 9.2A of the Parliament's Standing Orders, designated as an additional "member in charge" of the Bill. Such a member can exercise any right conferred on the "member in charge" by Standing Orders.
