Current Bills

The Scottish Parliament is in dissolution. This means there are currently no MSPs and no parliamentary business will take place until after the election on Thursday 5 May 2016. Any bills that were not passed before dissolution commenced will no longer be considered.

The balloon icons are used to highlight the key stages in a bill's passage. The fuchsia balloon icon indicates the current stage of the bill.

Milestone dates in the consideration of a bill, such as when a stage was completed, are noted underneath the icons.

N/A indicates that this stage of the bill has not yet been reached.

Print copies of many Scottish Parliament Business Information documents are available to purchase from third party suppliers.

When the Office of the Clerk is open, these days are defined as ‘counting days’.

Motions, amendments and questions may be lodged and Bills introduced on days when the Office of the Clerk is open.
