Where Gypsy/Travellers live

Remit

We’re keen that improvements are made to the lives of Gypsy/Travellers. By reviewing the work of the previous Equal Opportunities Committees and through an awareness-raising afternoon with Gypsy/Travellers, we’ve identified that where Gypsy/Travellers live is often at the root of many problems that they face. As a result, we launched a call for evidence on accommodation.

We also held a separate inquiry into Gypsy/Travellers and care.

A report has now been published by the Committee:

We launched our call for evidence on 27 March and took oral evidence between December 2012 and February 2013.
