Question
To ask the Scottish Executive whether the revenue generated by a social responsibility levy will be available for investment in groups working with alcohol addiction.
Answer
The Alcohol etc. (Scotland) Act 2010 allows Scottish Ministers to make by regulations provision about how the income from the social responsibility levy may be applied.
The Scottish Government has been clear that the levy will not be taken forward until the economic circumstances are right.
