  • Date lodged: Thursday, 04 April 2013
  • Motion reference: S4M-06172

That the Parliament congratulates the Dumbarton Road Corridor Environment Trust on its £9,022 Award for All grant from the Big Lottery Fund; notes that the Glasgow-based trust sought the funding in order to reopen its bike recycling workshop, De'ils On Wheels; understands that this will allow the group to employ a qualified bike mechanic as a sessional worker over six months and provide volunteer opportunities for adults in the community; recognises that this project meets the Awards for All programme outcomes, People have better chances in life, People have better and more sustainable services and environments and People and communities are healthier; understands that the project is part of the trust's ongoing aim of improving the delivery of community-led sustainable regeneration in the west of Glasgow, and wishes the trust every success.
