No points have been raised by our legal advisers on the instrument, but members may wish to note that, as advised by the Lord President’s private office, it currently displays an incorrect laying date.
The instrument should have specified that it was laid on 26 May 2015 rather than 22 May 2015. It is suggested that that could properly be reflected as a minor point. Given that 22 May to 25 May were holiday dates and the instrument was made on Wednesday 20 May and laid on Tuesday 26 May, there appears not to have been an inordinate delay in laying the instrument. It was laid on the second business day after the day of making and signing.
Is the committee content with the instrument?
