The Chamber of the Scottish Parliament is the venue for Meetings of the Parliament. Meetings of the Parliament normally take place on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons and from 11.40am on Thursdays.
Committees play a central part in the work of the Parliament – taking evidence from witnesses, scrutinising legislation and conducting inquiries. Most committees meet weekly or fortnightly, usually on Tuesdays, Wednesday or Thursday mornings.
