The Register of Interests of Members of the Scottish Parliament lists details of interests registered under categories such as remuneration, heritable property and gifts. More information about the exact nature of information required under each category of interest can be found at Volume 2: sections 1 and 2 of the Code of Conduct for Members of the Scottish Parliament.
Information on the exact nature of the requirement under each category can be found in the Interests of Members of the Scottish Parliament Act 2006 (asp 12).
Election expenses are not detailed on the Register of Interests as candidate spending returns are collated by the Electoral Commission. Details of spending and donations for all candidates at the 2011 Scottish Parliamentary election are available on the Electoral Commission’s website. Donations made to MSPs, other than in relation to Scottish Parliamentary elections, may also require to be registered with the Electoral Commission. Details of such donations are published regularly by the Electoral Commission.
