Call for written evidence on the Scottish Government’s Draft Budget 2014-15
The Scottish Government’s Draft Budget 2014-15 was published on 11 September 2013.
The Justice Committee has agreed to focus its scrutiny of the Draft Budget 2014-15 on the following three budget areas:
- policing;
- prisons and alternatives to custody, including women offenders; and
- the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, including its commitment to implement a revised protocol for processing domestic abuse cases (as set out in the Scottish Government’s Equality Statement on the Draft Budget 2014 15).
The Committee would welcome your views on any or all of the three areas listed above. Alternatively, you may wish to highlight issues concerning any of the other justice budget proposals.
Due to the short timescale available in which to consider the budget proposals, submissions must be received by 5.00pm on Friday 18 October 2013.
