The Connect! Peer Education Project is looking forward to continuing to work with groups and young people from all over Scotland, like the group pictured above, from South Lanarkshire.
Interested?
Are you part of a group of young people who are interested in finding out more about what you can do to work with the Scottish Parliament, to have your voice heard and to make changes? Or you might be an individual interested in learning more about Peer Education and how you might be able to raise awareness of issues that matter to you?
We're calling out to any young people aged 16 to 25 years who would like to train to become peer facilitators in order to be able to tell other young people what they can do about issues that matter to them in their area and at the Scottish Parliament.
We'll provide support and training to help you to develop and run your own Connect! Peer Education sessions to other local young people. The sessions are usually focussed on issues that are important to you linked in with ideas for what you can do about these issues, and we support you to create your own unique and fun sessions.
We're always keen to work with young people from all across Scotland and we try to adapt the project to suit the needs of each group that we work with, so please get in touch about ways that we can work with you.
What Can You Expect From Taking Part in the Connect! Peer Education Project?
- Groups taking part will find out what they can do to have their voices heard.
- Training and support for developing and delivering peer-to-peer sessions.
- Gain the skills you need to become a Facilitator, including managing a group, team working skills and planning activities.
- The sessions will be full of activities, lots of time for discussion and will be really interactive.
- We would really like continue to hear about your work as a group and will look for any further opportunities to work together.
The Connect! Peer Education sessions are a great opportunity for young people to get together to explore how they could make a difference to issues that matter them.
