About the Parliament

In this section of the website you can find out more about the role and duties of the Presiding Officer you can also read reports about some previous activities.
You can also find out about how the Parliament works as an organisation. The Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body (SPCB), comprising five MSPs, is responsible for ensuring that the Parliament has the facilities required to perform its business effectively. In this section you can find out about what the SPCB does in more detail. There is also some information about the staff organisation and its structure; find out about our senior managers.
The UK and International Relations Office (part of the Presiding Officer's Office) is responsible for developing and implementing the Parliament’s United Kingdom and International Relations policy, organising and overseeing the Parliament’s official engagements with other Parliaments and legislatures and working with international organisations such as the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association.
