Glasgow’s Royal Conservatoire Ranked in World's Top 10

That the Parliament congratulates the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland on being ranked as one of the world's top 10 performing arts schools; notes that the conservatoire has held on to its number six spot in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024; understands that it is the eighth time that it has been placed in the top 10 since the ranking was established in 2016; acknowledges that it was founded in 1847; considers that the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland is a dynamic, international community of artists; recognises that it provides specialist teaching across music, drama, dance, production, film and more, and acknowledges that, since opening, the school has taught a host of famous faces, including Ncuti Gatwa (the 15th Doctor), James McAvoy, David Tennant and many more.
