Hillhead Primary Wins Gold Award

That the Parliament congratulates Hillhead Primary School in Kilmarnock on being awarded a Gold Rights Respecting School Award from UNICEF; understands that the school is just one of five in the area to receive this prestigious award and had to demonstrate that the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child had been embedded into their ethos and curriculum; notes that the Rights Respecting School Award aims to help children grow into thoughtful, respectful and responsible young members of the school and wider community, by learning about their rights and the importance of respecting the rights of others; commends the hard work and dedication that the children and staff have put into this project, and congratulates Hillhead Primary School on this outstanding achievement.
