Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Government what its response is to the report in the Stirling Observer on 24 August 2016, which states that in NHS Forth Valley over the last year (a) 20,000 people did not turn up for appointments, (b) 5,500 people did not attend nurse-led outpatient appointments and (c) nearly 1,000 people did not attend appointments with allied health professionals; what the cost of this has been to the NHS board, and what support it is providing to encourage people to attend appointments.
