Question
To ask the Scottish Government whether it will provide an update on the date by which it plans to agree a Fiscal Framework with local government, as announced in the Verity House Agreement on 30 June 2023 and originally committed to by the end of September 2023.
Answer
A progress update on the Fiscal Framework was published in December 2023 - Progress Publication, December 2023: Fiscal Framework between Scottish Government and Local Government (www.gov.scot) . We continue to work closely with COSLA and our shared intention is to agree and publish the framework in advance of Budget 2025-26.
