Question

To ask the Scottish Government (a) how many and (b) what percentage of seven-day emergency readmissions there have been in each year since 2010-11, broken down by NHS board.


Answer

Since 2010-11 there has been an increase of around 0.1 percentage points per annum in the percentage of admissions which were followed by an emergency readmission for all ages combined.

Information on seven-day emergency readmissions is set out in the following tables

The percentage of admissions which were followed by emergency readmission with seven days by financial year and NHS Board of Residence for all ages.
