Group: Other Offices
The current practice for the Other Offices group is:
- The Presiding Officer (PO) and Deputy Presiding Officers (DPOs) will proactively promote equality through their leadership and public engagement roles by recognising and taking account of the diversity of people throughout Scotland in promoting the work of the Parliament. (Presiding Officer’s Office – Lead: Principal Private Secretary to the Presiding Officer)
- The Clerk/Chief Executive (C/CE) and Assistant Clerk/Chief Executives (AC/CEs) will proactively promote equality through their leadership and public engagement roles by recognising and taking account of the diversity of people throughout Scotland in promoting the work of the Parliament and removing barriers where they exist. (Clerk/Chief Executive’s Office – Lead: Head of Clerk/Chief Executive's Office)
- Ensure that equality is considered and built into all aspects of business planning and for any strategic policy decisions made at leadership group level. (Clerk/Chief Executive’s Office – Lead: Head of Clerk/Chief Executive's Office)
- Carry out a regular check of all SPCB and Leadership Group papers to ensure staff submitting papers have considered equality issues during preparation of the paper. (Clerk/Chief Executive’s Office – Lead: Head of Clerk/Chief Executive's Office)
